After the surprise exit from Cyclone Promotions of Carl Frampton, it has been announced that another fighter from the same stable has also left for pastures new.

This time the fighter is Conrad Cummings, the reigning European middleweight champion, who has left the McGuigan run set-up.

Commenting on the social network site Facebook, Cummings remarked,

‘After a recent meeting it was clear that our time has come to an end as a team.

Before also remarking,

‘I would like to announce that I have parted company with Barry McGuigan as my manager, Shane McGuigan as my trainer and Cyclone Promotions as my promotional team.

‘I would like to thank Barry, Shane, all of the McGuigans and Cyclone Promotions for the opportunities they have offered me to date.

‘I cannot wait to start the next chapter of my career and the big fights that lie ahead.’

Cummings was scheduled to make a defence of his European title on the ill-fated show in Belfast in June, the bill that was cancelled when the main event was called off when Carl Frampton?s opponent, Andres Gutierrez injured himself in the shower.

It remains to be seen who Cummings decides to link up with, we?ll endeavour to keep you informed.
