Many people were puzzled when the points verdict declared that Darley?s Perez kept his WBA world title in his recent defence against the Manchester fighter Anthony Crolla.
Crolla?s promoter, Eddie Hearn, was so convinced that Crolla had done enough to take the verdict, in his comeback fight after his traumatic out-of-the-ring experience, he demanded a points decision review and implied he?d pay for Crolla to get a re-match with Perez.
As it turned out Hearn didn?t have to go to such extreme measures with the WBA ordering having viewed the fight, a re-match.
Today that re-match has been confirmed with Crolla getting another chance to engage in battle with Perez on October 21st.
Once again Crolla will have home advantage with the venue being confirmed as the Manchester Arena.
Can Crolla scale the heights he climbed last time and get the decision this time around?
