Anthony Crolla certainly doesn?t believe in taking it easy when it comes to defending his WBA lightweight crown.

After his last magnificent display, you could have forgiven the Manchester boxer for taking an easy second defence.

However, far from it, Crolla has signed up for a unification fight against the fearsome Jorge Linares.

Linares is the WBC Diamond title-holder and the two will meet in the ring, in Manchester, on September 24th.

The fight, as we see it, is a difficult one for the Manchester fighter but Anthony believes he can beat Linares, remarking to the media about the contest,

?Jorge is a fantastic fighter.

?It?s another mountain to climb but these are the tests I thrive on.

?He has vulnerabilities. It?s up to me to expose them. I believe that I can.

?He?s boxed all over the world but fighting me in front of a packed Manchester crowd is not something you can prepare for.?

Linares last fought in the UK back in May last year when he stopped Kevin Mitchell at the O2 Arena.

It promises to be an enthralling night and one to put in your diary.
