Early 2015 could have been a wonderful time for Anthony Crolla.

The boxer could quite easily have been crowned champion of the world if his fight against the WBA champion Richar Abril had taken place.

Instead Crolla is left to mull over what might have been after being lucky to be left alive a frightening encounter with some burglars.

However Crolla is retaining a positive attitude and is looking to climb back between the ropes possibly as early as May.

Talking about the long road to recovery, Crolla has remarked to the media,

‘I’m 100% certain I’ll be back.

‘I’ll probably need brain scans even before I return to sparring. But I honestly think I can be ready for May, late May. We’ll see. I really believe that.’

And when that happens the cheer from his supporters will raise the roof.
