In Arlington, Texas, last night, Terence Crawford made his debut at his new fighting weight, taking on the more than capable Thomas Dulorme.

Crawford, the former WBO lightweight champion entered the ring with a record of 26-0 with 18 of those coming by way of knockout, whereas his opponent entered the ring with a record that read 21-1 with 14 coming by way of knockout.

The fight, which lasted six rounds, was a strange affair. The highly rated Crawford was expected to impress against Dulorme but somehow managed to lose the first five rounds. However, salvation came in round six when Crawford caught Dulorme with a left-right combination, a right to the head then put Dulorme on the canvas.

Dulorme did well to get to his feet but respite was brief as he was dropped a second time moments later, once again the game fighter got to his feet and tried to hold on until the end of the round but some brutal punching, from Crawford, finished Dulorme off.

After the fight, Crawford had this to say,

?I had a hell of a performance.

?My coach told me to just touch, touch him for the first five rounds letting him feel it, but in the 6th, he told me to hit him. I felt like I could do anything. I felt stronger.?

Who Crawford climbs into the ring to fight next remains to be seen!
