The clamour to see our two world super-bantamweight champions in the ring together continues.
Carl Frampton (the IBF belt holder) and Scott Quigg (the WBA super-bantamweight holder) are both willing to get this one on but there are, undoubtedly, obstacles in both their paths.
Firstly, Quigg has to make a successful defence of his WBA title, this Saturday, against Stephane Jamoye, whilst Frampton will be obliged to get a mandatory defence of his IBF belt out of the way before he can even consider a fight with Quigg.
But, if those obstacles can be overcome then Quigg and his camp are envisaging a showdown with Frampton at Manchester United?s Old Trafford football ground next summer.
That?s all very well but it doesn?t half seem a long way off to me!
Could Old Trafford be the Venue?
