I?m bored with the Klitschko brothers dominating the heavyweight division.

I?m bored with their robotic styles boring me to death and the manner in which the Ukrainian duo appear to manipulate the sport.

Therefore I?m so glad that there could be salvation on the horizon, salvation in the shape of Deontay Wilder.

Wilder?s an American and everybody knows that when the USA has the heavyweight champion of the world the sport prospers.

But Wilder is a couple of fights away from detonating those explosive punches on one of the Klitschko brothers, one or two fights that could see the 27 year-old have to wait another twelve months to get that fight.

Currently Wilder is ranked #3 WBC, #5 WBO, #6 WBA and #12 IBF. A couple of good wins will seem him elevated to, quite possibly, a mandatory challenger position.

Wilder?s next fight is against Nicolai Firtha this Saturday, a fight made at short notice and a fight Wilder is tipped to win.

Speaking about a potential showdown Wladimir Klitschko has reportedly remarked,

?There is a huge fighter, by the name of Deontay Wilder?I think that a fight against him would be very interesting. The issue is that he is not rated high enough yet.?

Well when Deontay is, then perhaps one crunching right hand could see my prayers answered!

  • this boy certainly bangs and is physically awesome. In the one or two times I have seen him (always briefly) he looks great, but is perhaps a little too open for the likes of the Klitschko brothers at this time
