With the first big promotion of the year fast approaching, two heavyweights went face to face at the press conference today.

On February 15th, at the Copper Box Arena at the Olympic Stadium in Stratford, Dereck Chisora will be taking on the American heavyweight Kevin Johnson. On the under-card Tyson Fury will be taking on the Argentine heavyweight Gonzalo Oamr Basile.

If both emerge (as expected) victorious, then the general consensus of opinion is that Fury and Chisora will meet for a second time. Talking about a possible bout, Frank Warren is quoted in the media as remarking,

‘They’re the two best heavyweights in Europe, maybe the world, except for Wladimir Klitschko,’

‘I’m quite sure I can get a final eliminator for the WBO between Dereck and Tyson.’

Already there is talk of Upton Park being used with June being the month suggested.

Suddenly, after the traditional break in Boxing we have at this time of the year, things are starting to kick-start big time again.
