On the Wembley under-card, a young Welsh fighter was making his second professional appearance in the ring.
His first had come just a week earlier when he stopped, in the fourth round, Jose Aguilar.
The boxer in question is Joe Cordina
After a decent amateur career whereby the talented youngster fought for Team GB at the Rio Olympics, Cordina is expected to have a bright future ahead of him.
Opening the show on Saturday night, just as its headliner Anthony Joshua had done for the Froch v Groves bout three years ago, Cordina was matched, in a super-featherweight contest, against the Russian Sergej Vib.
Cordina was far too good for his opponent and dominated from the sound of the first bell. Out-powered and out-boxed, the Russian was stopped inside the first round, making Cordina?s record read 2-0 with both wins coming by stoppage.
A youngster to keep an eye on, definitely!
