A golden opportunity has arisen for a British boxer.

When Jeff Horn beat Manny Pacquiao, albeit by a points decision the Philippine born fighter contested, it was thought that the Australia boxer?s first defence of his WBO welterweight title would be against Pacquaio.

However, it hasn?t worked out like that, Pacquiao hasn?t seemed to be too keen on a re-match and Horn has been looking for a suitable opponent.

It seems that suitable fighter is the WBO #11 ranked fighter Gary Corcoran.

With just 18 fights in his professional career, Corcoran has been given a golden chance to become a world title holder.

It is understood that the fight between the pair will take place on December 15, in Australia.

Corcoran has suffered one defeat in his professional career when he lost to Liam Williams in July 2016 when he was challenging for the British super-welterweight title.

Can Corcoran end the new champions reign in the Aussies first defence?
