On the undercard of the Crolla v Linares world title fight, Conor Benn was back in action again.

Conor, the son of the legend that is Nigel Benn, was making his fifth professional appearance in the ring.

Having won his four previous fights, Benn?s education continued with a six round bout, the first time he?s been in a six-round fight, against the Middlesbrough fighter Ross Jameson.

Conor was forced to go the distance by his durable opponent and at times looked a little too easy to hit.

The last round also saw Conor tire badly but, at just 19-years-of-age, it is perhaps only to be expected.

Conor?s record now stands at 5-0 and with the boxer promising to remain busy to keep his development going, Conor could well be a familiar face at shows over the coming months as he seeks to emulate his father?s achievements.
