With the action coming thick and fast, in the ring, at this time of the year, with Lee Haskins defending his world title this weekend, news has broken about a fighter who made his debut on that wonderful night when Anthony Joshua won the IBF version of the heavyweight title.

Conor Benn, son of the famous Nigel, made a sensational debut to his professional career by stopping his opponent in the first round, cheered on by a very excited Nigel.

Yesterday it was announced that Conor will fight on the undercards of two big promotions in the next six weeks.

Conor will feature on the undercard of the big promotion in Glasgow when Ricky Burns tried to win the vacant WBA world lightweight title against Michele Di Rocco on May 28th at the SSE Hydro.

The youngster will then make a return to the O2 Arena, on June 25th, when Anthony Joshua makes his first defence of his heavyweight title against Dominic Breazeale.

These are exciting times ahead for the youngster and we wish him well.
