With Chris Eubank Jnr following in the footsteps of his illustrious father Chris Eubank Snr, another son of a former world champion, who also happened to be a deadly rival of Eubank Snr, is set to start his professional career.
Conor Benn, the son of none other than Nigel Benn, will make his first professional appearance in the ring on the undercard of the huge promotion on April 9th that is topped by the IBF world heavyweight title fight between Anthony Joshua and Charles Martin.
Conor, who currently boxes at super-lightweight, is just nineteen years of age and will feature on the undercard against an as yet unnamed opponent.
Talking about his professional debut, Conor has remarked,
‘Until I’ve become the youngest world champion or won more belts, I’ll always be Nigel Benn’s son.?
It?ll be interesting to see how Conor gets on in his first fight.
Here at Vital Boxing we wish him every success.
