Not many fighters get to make their professional debuts at the famous Maddison Square Garden venue but that?s exactly what the Irish boxer, Michael Conlan, did on St Patrick?s Day.

Conlan was matched against the American fighter, Tim Ibarra, in the third round and was cheered on by 5,000 of his compatriots.

News has broken that Conlan will remain in America for his second professional fight, but this time he will be fighting in Chicago at the UIC Pavilion.

The UIC Pavilion has a capacity of 9,500 and it?ll be interesting to see how many fellow Irishman make the journey to cheer the man from Belfast on.

As of yet there has been no opponent named for his second fight, we?ll bring you that news when it becomes available.
