The Belfast boxer, Michael Conlan, is certainly living the dream.

After making his professional debut at the legendary Madison Square Garden venue, on St Patricks Day, a debut in which he stopped the American fighter Tim Ibarra before the end of the third round, the super-bantamweight is set, for his second fight, to box in Chicago.

Although no opponent has been named for the Chicago fight on 26th May, it appears that Conlan?s third professional fight has already been mapped out.

Top Rank?s vice president, Carl Moretti, has remarked,

‘If all goes well, Michael will fight on 2 July in Brisbane.?

Brisbane is, of course, the venue where, on 2 July, the legend that is Manny Pacquiao will be defending his WBO welterweight title against the Australian boxer Jeff Horn.

However, Conlan?s appearance on that promotion is dependent upon him winning his fight in Chicago, but what an incentive!
