In Liverpool tonight, at the Echo Arena, a promotion entitled ?Collision Course? will see both Nathan Cleverly and Tony Bellew fight at cruiserweight.

Cleverly is set to take on Alejandro Emilio Valori with Bellew set to take on Julio Cesar Dos Santos, with the idea being that both fighters will win comfortably to set up a second clash between the two.

Naturally, with the bouts being on home soil for Bellew, the Welsh fighter expects a far from healthy welcome from the partisan Liverpool crowd. Ahead of the fight Cleverly has remarked about fighting n front of Bellew?s home support,

?I am not expecting to come out to cheers. It might be hostile at times, but that can motivate me. It is realistic that my next fight after Valori will be Bellew.?

At the weigh-in yesterday, Cleverly looked to be very focused, towering over his shorter opponent, giving his opponent the evil-eye whilst Bellew took a much less aggressive attitude and exchanged smiles with his opponent.

Here at Vital Boxing, we expect both men to win comfortably, inside the distance, thereby setting up a second bout between the two, we also expect there will be the usual posturing and exchange of banter between the two, hopefully it?ll not overstep the mark!
