After losing to Andrzej Fonfara on Friday night, in what was a fierce, close battle, Nathan Cleverly is looking for a re-match.

The brutal light-heavyweight encounter, in Chicago, saw Cleverly lose on points, 116-112, 116-112 and 115-113 but showed he still has the heart, desire and ability to operate at the highest level in a division where he once held a version of a world title.

After having been t hospital to have his broken nose looked at and blood drained from an ear injury, Cleverly may not have looked the prettiest of sights but used the social network platform of Twitter to issue this to his many supporters,

?Overwhelmed with the support. Thank you. I gave it everything. Nose broke in 7th but that?s boxing. Respect to Fonfara. I would love to do it again.?

No doubt it is a fight that the boxing public would like to see again but it remains to be seen whether Fonfara is interested in a re-match, the purpose of the bout was for the winner to move on towards a world-title fight and Fonfara, having lost to Adonis Stevenson is, quite probably, looking at avenging that defeat.

However, as we?ve discovered before, money talks in this sport and if a big enough offer was made perhaps we could see that re-match Cleverly is after.
