In just under a month the Welsh boxer, Nathan Cleverly, will be looking to claim a world title belt.
Cleverly, who has a record that reads 29-3 with 15 of those wins coming by way of knockout, will be travelling to Neubrandenburg, in Germany, to take on the WBA champion Juergen Braehmer, who has a record that reads 48-2 with 35 of those wins coming by knockout.
The Welsh fighter, who previously won the WBO light-heavyweight title, will be hoping that the ageing Braehmer can be beaten in his won back-yard.
Yesterday (Thursday), a press conference was held to promote the fight and Cleverly believes that the WBA belt is there for the taking.
Cleverly, talking about the contest had this to say,
?This fight is my destiny.
?Juergen has been fantastic for German boxing, but it?s time for a young lion to come and rip that title from him. He?s 37 years old and hopefully this fight will mark the end of his career.??
However, it remains to be seen if Cleverly?s performance on the night will match those brave words. Braehmer is a clever southpaw who likes to box and move whereas Cleverly prefers his opponents to stand still so he can catch them with a volley of punches.
Will it be Cleverly?s night or is there fire in the old dog still?
Your opinions on the forthcoming fight would be greatly appreciated.
