After deciding that he would carry on boxing, after that devastating defeat to the Russian, Sergey Kovalev, Nathan Cleverly?s next fight has been announced.

Cleverly, the ex-WBO light-heavyweight champion, will take on Daniel Ammann, at the Copper Box Arena, Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park Stratford.

The fight will take place on 30th November and will be for the vacant Commonwealth cruiserweight belt!

Moving up to cruiserweight would seem to indicate that Cleverly?s career will be moving in a different direction and, in all honesty, it should get off to a good start with Ammann having suffered 5 defeats in 35 fights but has only 6 knockouts to his name.

Therefore, is it safe to assume two things!

Firstly, Cleverly has abandoned all plans to try to regain his title against Kovalev and secondly, was he struggling to make the weight back in August on that hugely disappointing night?
