This Saturday, over in Germany, Nathan Cleverly gets his chance to be a two-time world champion.

The Welsh boxer will be taking on the WBA light-heavyweight champion, Juergen Braehmer, hoping to become the first Welshman to lose a world title and then win one at the same weight again.

Cleverly, who was lined up to fight against Braehmer back in 2010, is confident that the time is now right for him to reclaim a world title.

Ahead of the bout, Cleverly has spoken to the media, remarking,

‘I’m ready for chapter two – to become a two-time world champion.

‘We are finally here. I am finally facing Braehmer and I am ready for this.

‘I have been waiting for a big fight. Andre Ward was mentioned, but finally Braehmer has stepped up to the plate.

‘I’m more of a man, more mature and at a better stage in my career.

‘I have more man-strength, more boxing skills, more power – I am more ready for this fight now.

‘I wouldn’t have done anything differently, I’ve lived the dream and had a great journey.

‘At some point being world champion has to come to the end and it did against Kovalev. No regrets. This is the next chapter.’

Can Cleverly realise that dream, I?ve a sneaking feeling he can, how about you?
