Having dropped back down to light-heavyweight to resume his career, after suffering a defeat at the hands of Tony Bellew as a cruiserweight, Nathan Cleverly appears to have his future all mapped out.

The Welsh fighter makes his long awaited return to the ring on 30th May, with his opponent yet to be announced, and if he comes through that unscathed the future looks golden.

Cleverly has heavily hinted that terms have been agreed for a world title fight against the holder of the WBA version, Juergen Braehmer

Speaking to the media, Cleverly has remarked,

‘Terms have been agreed.

‘It’s just a matter of me getting this next fight out of the way and then we are going to make an announcement.’

Could we see, not in the too distant future, the Welshman strapping a world championship belt around his waist again?
