The world of Boxing moves in mysterious ways.

When Nathan Cleverly recently lost to his big rival Tony Bellew, it was suspected that the Welsh cruiserweight had suffered a huge blow in securing a world title fight at a second weight.

However, it would seem that the spit decision may well have given Cleverly a chance to fight for a world title at his previous weight of light-heavy, with his promoter, Eddie Hearn, remarking,

?It looks like he?ll [Cleverly] be getting a world title shot as well.?

?Nathan Cleverly will be back at light heavyweight and he will fight for a world title before the end of the year, probably in September. It?s virtually already done.?

I can?t help feeling all those fighters at light-heavyweight who have been biding their time for a world title shot might be a little miffed at those words from Eddie Hearn.
