As many suspected he would!
Following his loss to Tony Bellew, last November, the mutterings doing the rounds intimated that Nathan Cleverly would drop back down to light-heavyweight rather than continue his career as a cruiserweight.
This suspected move has now been confirmed with Cleverly set to fight, at light-heavyweight, on the big Eddie Hearn show, in London, on 30th May.
No opponent has been announced so far but the speculation doing the rounds infers that Cleverly is being guided towards a world title shot against Juergen Braehmer.
Those who can recall, might remember that Cleverley, in his first spell as a light-heavyweight was scheduled to fight Braehmer, for the WBO crown back in 2011. On that occasion the German pulled out through injury and Cleverley inherited the crown.
Our best wishes go to Nathan on his comeback and we wish him every success.
