The ?Collision Course? plan to guide Nathan Cleverly and Tony Bellew towards a re-match, but at cruiserweight rather than light-heavyweight, took a huge step forward last night.

Cleverly was first into the ring at the Liverpool Echo Arena, taking on the Argentinian fighter Alejandro Emilio Valori and produced a good performance which culminated in the Welshman stopping his opponent in the fourth round having previously sent him to the canvas in the second round.

Bellew, in front of his home supporters, took on the Brazilian fighter Julio Cesar Dos Santos, a slightly more difficult opponent in my opinion, stopping him with a knockout in the fifth round.

With a fight between the two closer than ever now and with the Matchroom Sports team keen to put it on, Cleverly wasted no time in taunting Bellew, uttering,

?I?m coming for you Tony.?

Before adding,

?This was class C for me but the next fight will be fireworks with that guy from Liverpool.?

The first time Cleverly and Bellew fought, Cleverly won in Bellew?s back yard, I wonder if a second fight will be in the same city, somehow I doubt it!
