If reports appearing in the tabloid press are correct, then Nathan Cleverley has decided to box on.

The 26 year-old Welsh fighter, who recently lose his WBO light-heavyweight title to the big-hitting Russian, Sergey Kovalev, had indicated that he?d walk away from the demanding sport once he suffered his first loss.

However, having had time to reflect, it appears that Nathan has decided now is not the time to give up on the sport that has been his life for so long, with the Welshman commenting,

?I?ve come too far to throw it all away.?

But, worryingly, Cleverley is also talking about a re-match with Sergey Kovalev which, in my opinion, is a dangerous route to be talking about going down. Only recently the Liverpool heavyweight, David Price, had ambitions of dismissing his own nemesis, Tony Thompson, in a re-match but only to come a cropper and see his career further flounder.

In my opinion, if Cleverley is intent on coming back, his management team should steer him away, for now, from Kovalev saving the big-hitting Russian for later when Cleverley?s confidence is restored and he has a few more wins under his belt.

It?d make sense wouldn?t it?
