At the Copper Box Arena, in Stratford, London, last night, Dereck Chisora notched up his fourth successive win in 2013.

Fighting Ondrej Pala, the current EBU heavyweight champion continued his renaissance with a third-round stoppage.

Chisora started the opening round well but was caught by a few heavy blows from his Czech opponent. Pala also gave Chisora food for thought in round two with a huge right hand punch making the round a more even affair.

However, in round three, Chisora trapped his man in the corner with a big punch that caused Pala to spin around and be caught with another head-shot. With Chisora raining unanswered punches on his opponent the referee stepped in and stopped the fight.

Speaking to the media afterwards, Chisora remarked

‘Fair play to the guy – he hit me with some good shots, but he didn’t hurt me.?

‘I want a big opponent, someone who can test me, and that’s what we’re pushing for now.?

It’s all about getting into the right position to fight for those titles. I’ve just got to keep fighting and keep winning.’

There is talk of Chisora being matched with one of the Klitschko brothers but my feeling is that we?re heading towards an encounter with either, the big punching American, Deontay Wilder, or Tyson Fury, but I could be wrong!
