There has been talk, in recent times, of Tyson Fury and Dereck Chisora stepping into the ring for a re-match.

Although Chisora has a fight lined-up for February 15th, at the Copper Box Arena, the suggestion is in the air that Frank Warren would like Tyson Fury to feature on the same bill, thereby setting the scene for Fury v Chisora II in June.

If such an encounter can be engineered it?d be interesting to see if the outcome would be the same as when they firs fought, back in July 2011 when Fury won comfortably.

Speaking about the possibility, the legendary promoter Frank Warren is quoted as having remarked,

i>?The plan is for both of them to come through their fights on a night and then the pair will meet in a massive re-match in June.?

The cherry on the cake is the prospect of it being an eliminator for the world-title. It really has got the ingredients of a super-fight.?

However, before we all get too excited about the prospect, some cold water has been poured on the fire by Fury?s promoter Mick Hennessy who is also quoted as having remarked in the media,

i>?We have had an offer from BoxNation for Tyson to appear on three of their shows, but as yet have not received any contract to look at.?

Until something is agreed in writing and signed into, myself, Peter Fury and Tyson are still keeping our options open.?

Here at Vital Boxing, we feel that a clash with Chisora, especially if the EBU belt is at stake, would propel Fury back onto the world scene, even more so with the inactive fighter slipping down the rankings.
