Over at the Copper Box Arena, Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park, Hackney Wick, London, Dereck Chisora will get the opportunity to claim the vacant EBU heavyweight title.

Chisora, who beat Malik Scott to secure this bout, was set to face the rated Denis Boystov, but there has now been a switch in opponent.

Instead of fighting Boystov, Chisora will now be taking on the German heavyweight, Edmund Gerber.

Many perceive this to be an easier contest for Chisora with many giving him a better chance of beating Gerber than he would have had facing Boystov.

On the surface, it looks to be a good piece of matchmaking and Chisora, never short of a word or two when it comes to promoting himself, has commented to the media,

?Beating Gerber is another step closer to the Klitschko brothers and nothing is going to stop me winning the European title. I really want to do a great job on him, really smash him up and show that I deserve a shot at the Klitschko?s.?

Fighting talk, as you?d expect, from Chisora, but I?m of the opinion that Chisora is, at best, a European champion, taking on either of the Klitschko?s would just end in defeat I?m afraid.
