October 7th will see Dillian Whyte step back into the ring.
The Brixton fighter will be fighting at the SSE Hydro, in Glasgow, on the under-card of Ricky Burns WBA super-lightweight title defence.
As of yet, there has been no official confirmation of Whyte?s opponent.
Rumours suggested that Whyte?s camp fancied taking on Sam Sexton but Sexton has, so we?re told, declined the invitation.
But whilst Whyte?s camp look for a suitable opponent Dereck Chisora has volunteered his services.
Chisora, who has fought at world title level and has a record that reads 25-6 with 17 wins coming by knockout, remarked on Sky Sports,
?Don?t worry man, I?ll take his place.
?Say ?let?s do it? and I?ll whoop your [expletive], it?s easy. Easy pickings bro, that?s it. Tell your boys to holler at my boys and then we?ll get it done. Don?t worry about Sam, I?ll fight you.?
But will Whyte?s camp accept the invitation?
Here at Vital Boxing we?d suggest not. Whyte hasn?t looked the same fighter since his shoulder operation, following his defeat at the hands of Anthony Joshua, we feel a fight between Whyte and Chisora could be some eighteen months away.
But we could be wrong!
