Having won the European heavyweight title, stopping the German Edmund Gerber, Dereck Chisora is set to remain active.

Today (Monday), is has been announced that Chisora will make the first defence of the reference title on 30th November at the Copper Box Arena at the Olympic Stadium, in Stratford.

Chisora will take on the Swiss heavyweight Arnold Gjeraj who will arrive in London with a decent record. The challenger has won all twenty-two of his previous fights, including his last nine by stoppage.

However, it should be pointed out that the Swiss boxer has only travelled outside his home country on one occasion to box.

To us, although his record looks decent enough, on paper, we reckon that Chisora?s team have picked an opponent that will not derail Dereck?s chances of edging towards bigger an higher things.

Although the fight is some six weeks away, we reckon it?ll be all over, in Dereck?s favour by round six.
