Topping the bill at the Wembley Arena, this Saturday, on a Frank Warren promotion, is Dereck Chisora.
Chisora, looking to get back into contention for a world-title fight, after losing to David Haye at Upton Park, faces the unbeaten and highly fancied Malik Scott.
Now Chisora has always struck me as something of a maverick (for want of a better word). He?s a colourful character whom lights up a room but a character who has over-stepped the mark on a couple of occasions which have not endeared him to the authorities.
However, being a heavyweight, we all know Chisora can bang and that he?ll always be just one punch away from a victory, even if the odds are stacked against him. Many pundits are suggesting that the American, Scott, isn?t the biggest of punchers and will need to out-work Chisora.
As the build-up to the contest continues, Chisora attended a press conference yesterday and was his usual maverick self (for want of a better word) standing on his head to entertain those present before bellowing,
?I?ve looked into his eyes and I see the boy is scared.?
?I?m going to do a real good job on this boy.?
Brave talk from Chisora and talk that needs to be backed up otherwise, come the end of the fight on Saturday, there could be a huge slice of humble pie to be eaten!
Chisora ? For Want of a Better Word
