Topping the bill at the Copper Box Arena last night was Dereck Chisora.

Chisora, on course for a re-match with Tyson Fury, was matched against the former world title challenger Kevin Johnson.

Although Johnson had lost three out of his last four fights, he?d never been stopped and was seen as being a durable opponent for the revitalized Chisora.

That is exactly as it turned out with Chisora emerging the victor on points.

Chisora had Johnson on the seat of his pants, in the fifth round, but couldn?t land any big punches to finish him off with the American looking to survive rather than go for broke.

Talking to the media after the bout Chisora had this to say,

?I will have one more bout but then I can meet Fury in the summer ? let?s get it on.?

?Johnson came here just trying to survive. I badly wanted the knockout but couldn?t get it. I didn?t need to push in case I came unstuck.?

?I tried to be tactical and work his body but he covered up well.?

With both fighters having won, the summer bout between Chisora and Fury is bang on track to happen.
