On the undercard at the Wembley Arena last night, Dereck Chisora was looking to get his career back on track.
Chisora, having been soundly beaten by Tyson Fury in his last outing, was facing the 34-year-old Brazilian fighter Luiz Nascimento.
Nascimento could, at best, be described as a journeyman and he was never going to cause a flabby looking Chisora too many problems.
As it turned out Chisora was given the verdict by 99-91 in ten rounds that were one-sided.
In taking the points decision, Chisora took his record to 22-5 with 14 wins coming by knockout.
The early rounds saw Chisora dominate, unloading some power shots, one of which looked to stun Nascimento in the 3rd round.
As Chisora poured on the pressure, the Brazilian looked there for the taking in rounds eight to ten but Chisora just couldn?t unload enough big shots.
What this one-sided win tells us about Chisora?s hopes of gate-crashing the title scene again remains to be seen.
