Charr Shot in Late Night Attack

Being a boxer is a dangerous enough experience as it is.

There is always the acceptance that despite the best medical attention something can go wrong in the ring.

However, it now seems that outside of the ring can also be fraught with danger.

Over in Essen, the German heavyweight Manuel Charr was going about his business in a late-night kebab house when he was shot.

Charr, who lost a one-sided world heavyweight title fight to Vladimir Klitschko, had to undergo emergency surgery after being rushed to hospital but we?re pleased to hear that the life of the 30-year-old is not in danger.
