Having won his last fight, in emphatic style, Carl Frampton is hoping is next fight will be for the WBC super-bantamweight title.

The challenge has gone out for the current unbeaten WBC super bantamweight champion Leo Santa Cruz to come to Belfast to defend his title against ambitious Carl.

Well it would appear that the champion is more than prepared to come to Belfast and take on Frampton in his own backyard with the champion quoted as having remarked,

?I will fight Frampton in Belfast.?

?He is my number one choice and I want to defend my title in July. I will get the biggest purse of my career.?

If so, the above remarks auger well for Frampton and his manager, the legend that is Barry McGuigan, throwing into the melting pot,

?If Santa Cruz is genuine about coming to Belfast, and I have no reason to doubt him, then I will make him an offer he can?t refuse to come fight Carl in Belfast.?

?I would clearly love the fight to be in Belfast and I am pleased to hear that Santa Cruz is willing to come.?

Well let?s get it on then!

It?ll be a tough fight for Frampton, the mandatory challenger, but Belfast has witnessed some great nights when it comes to big-fights and who?s to say Frampton can?t, if the fight goes ahead, pull this one off!
