After seeing George Groves finally get his hands on a super-middleweight title belt, is the Liverpool fighter, Paul Smith, set to emulate the Hammersmith fighter this Saturday?
Paul Smith, after losing two world title fights, for the WBO version of the title, against Arthur Abraham, the second loss being more decisive than the first, is ready to fight for a world title again.
This Saturday, Paul returns to Germany to fight for the WBA super-middleweight title.
His opponent on Saturday evening will be the WBA champion, Tyron Zeuge.
But Smith, now 34-years-of-age, knows this will be his last chance to be a world champion, or as his trainer Joe Gallagher has remarked,
?The last throw of the dice.?
Continuing, Gallagher has further remarked,
‘He has the experience now.
‘It’s not like a kid fighting for the world title for the first time.
‘This is now his third attempt, and at this stage of his career, it’s the last roll of the dice.?
Smith, who has now had forty-four fights, is on a winning streak of three, with his record standing at 38 wins and 6 losses.
Can he beat Zeuge and become a world title holder?
Let?s just say it?ll be a tough task!
