Tonight, at the Liverpool Echo Arena, many pundits are suggesting that the main support fight on the Bellew v Flores fight could be the fight of the night.

The bout features the London 2012 medallist Luke Campbell, who has a record that reads 14-1 with 11 wins coming by way of knockout, against the big punching Derry Mathews, who has a record that reads 38-10-2 with 20 wins coming by way of knockout.

The fight will see the #6 WBC lightweight contender, Campbell, defend his WBC silver belt against a fighter who many are suggesting could cause him big trouble.

During the early stages of his professional career, Campbell looked to be set for the very top, however, a loss against Yvan Mendy, where Campbell was dropped to the canvas, raised some doubts.

Campbell was also in trouble in his fight against Argenis Mendez but recovered to take the win. Mathews fancies this contest and will be fired up for it, the big question is whether he can catch Campbell with his big punches and how often.

If Campbell can?t then his career could hit that proverbial brick wall. Like we said, it is an intriguing fight and one everyone is looking forward to.
