It is a fight that has been on the cards for some time and a fight that has finally been confirmed.

After all the talk about two of Hull?s finest exponents of the noble art coming together in the same ring, the contracts have now been signed by both fighters.

On 1st August, in an open air show, Luke Campbell and Tommy Coyle will come face-to-face in a lightweight world title eliminator.

Campbell, a gold medal winner at the 2012 London Olympics, wants to become only the second ever gold medal winner this country produces to go on to become a world title holder, having been pipped by James DeGale as the first.

In doing so his aim is to beat his good friend, Anthony Joshua (another gold medal winner) to that target, with Campbell remarking,

?Joshua?s a good friend but I want to be the next gold medallist to win a world title.?

However, when he comes face-to-face with Coyle, his opponent will have his own agenda and shouldn?t be under-estimated.
