Campbell Crushes Lopez Inside Two Rounds

On the undercard at the Hull Ice Arena, Luke Campbell was back in action.

The London 2012 Olympic champion was matched against the Mexican fighter Jairo Lopez.

Campbell, looking to get his career back on track after a shock defeat against Yvan Mendy, had won his last three bouts and was keen to make a good impression against Lopez, it was something he certainly did.

Lopez, in the first round, was rocked by a series of crushing left hands and was down in the first round. Somehow the Mexican survived to see the second round but Campbell?s attack was relentless and Lopez was flattened by a perfectly delivered left uppercut.

The victory makes if our on the bounce since that shock defeat to Mendy for Campbell who is now looking towards a shot at the WBC lightweight champion Mikey Garcia.
