The career of the light-heavyweight Hosea Burton continues to move in the right direction.

Last night, in Manchester on the undercard of the Crolla v Linares fight, Burton took on the Mexican fighter Fernando Castaneda.

The fight didn?t last long with Burton stopping his opponent inside three rounds.

Burton has now gone unbeaten in eighteen fights as a professional.

Last night Burton should have been defending his British light-heavyweight title against the very capable Frank Buglioni but Buglioni was forced to withdraw after picking up a cut in training.

Hopefully that match-up can be made in the coming weeks.

As an aside, Burton was watched at ringside by his good friend Tyson Fury who, on Friday, pulled out of his re-match with Wladmir Klitschko in October.

Fury, declared as medically unfit to fight Klitschko, stayed just for the one fight before leaving the Manchester Arena.
