This Saturday Ricky Burns climbs back between the ropes.

After recovering from the broken jaw he sustained last time out, the Scottish fighter takes on the highly rated Terence Crawford when he defends his WBO World Lightweight belt.

Many perceive it will be Burns? toughest test so far and are predicting a hard night for the champion.

However, Burns believes that the sparring he?s put in will stand him in good stead with Burns having drafted in such notable performers as Kevin Mitchell, Luke Campbell and Lee Selby.

Discussing his preparations Burns is quoted as having remarked,

‘I really think we have replicated what Crawford will bring. I felt as if for the last couple of fights we were doing too much sparring and circuits work, and although I was in great shape, it was getting a bit repetitive for 12 weeks before a fight.’

Well I guess we?ll find out on Saturday although, for the record, I?m taking the awesome Crawford to take the title back to the USA.
