This Friday Ricky Burns returns to the ring at the Braehead Arena, in Glasgow.

Burns, now ranked a lowly 15th by the WBO, is looking to get back onto the word stage.

His opponent this Friday, 27th June, will be taking on the #13 WBC ranked Dejan Zlaticanin.

Boxing pundits are hoping that Burns, who has a record of 36-3-1 with 11 wins by way of knockout, can get back to winning ways against a fighter who, a couple of years ago, wouldn?t have even been considered a suitable opponent for the Scottish fighter.

If Burns can get back to winning ways, the Scot is convinced that his promoter Eddie Hearn can get him another crack at a world title with the WBC lightweight champion Omar Figueroa the likely target.

However, it remains to be seen if Burns can get his career back on track after looking a troubled fighter in his last three bouts.
