Tonight, in Texas, Ricky Burns faces what is most probably his most difficult night in the ring.
The thirty-two year old Scot will be looking to pull off a major shock when he steps into the ring to take on Omar Figueroa.
Figueroa is an undefeated world champion at light-welterweight and is taking on Burns to test the waters at welterweight.
Burns, who has never fought outside of the United Kingdom, has struggled in recent times in the ring, getting a draw against Raymond Beltran two years ago and then being given a master-class in Boxing by Terence Crawford some fourteen months ago.
A costly legal battle with his former promoter Frank Warren, is said to have left Burns with huge debts.
Whether Burns is getting a good payday to take this fight or whether he seriously believes he can beat Figueroa, is a debatable subject.
Personally I think Burns is in too deep tonight and could suffer a bad defeat.
