After a small lull, courtesy of the festive season, the action really starts to heat-up next weekend when James DeGale and Badou Jack clash in a super-middleweight unification fight.

The bout, scheduled to take place in the Barclays Centre in Brooklyn, New York will see DeGale put his IBF title on the line against the WBC belt Jack holds.

Boxing fans are hoping that the fight will lead to another unification fight with the winner set to meet the winner of the fight between the winner of the George Groves v Fedor Chudinov fight for the WBA title.

With the fight now less than a week away we intend to follow events, in the US, closely.

Ahead of the fight, DeGale has had this to say about his opponent next Saturday evening,

?If I?m being honest the only reason why this fight hasn?t happened quicker is because Badou Jack didn?t want it.

?After the Bute fight he probably didn?t want it. And then after the Medina fight he did, because I boxed rubbish, because Medina went full rounds on me.?

Will DeGale emerge as the holder of the IBF and WBC super-middleweight belts?
