There is talk that Deontay Wilder fancies taking on Lucas Browne in his 26th September defence of his WBO crown.

Well it would appear that Browne is well up for it and ahead of any deal being signed has started baiting the champion.

Browne, who is unbeaten after 22 fights with 19 of his 22 wins coming via knockout, reckons he has the power to trouble the US hero and speaking about the champion who has won all 34 of his fights with 33 by way of knockout, has remarked to the media,

?You?ve got some power, don?t get me wrong. You?re a tall and skinny b****** with chicken legs.

?That?s unreal. You?ve got some power but your chin is nothing whatsoever.

?You?ve got a well-padded record and your promotional team have done really well.

?I?m a puncher. I hit like a mule and I know for a fact that if I hit you on the chin, you?re going to sleep. I?ve got a good chin and I can take your shots all day. Your left hook, your straight right. That?s all you?ve got ? over and over again. I?ll take it. Then I?ll punish the body, then I?ll take your head off your shoulders.?

But the big question is, can Browne provide as good a fight as he talks?

Our thoughts are that Wilder would take him out although the champion might have a scare or two along the way. The way to beat Wilder is to simply out-box him, keep out of range of those big, wide punches and box his head off, he?s a puncher alright but his boxing skills are not what they should be for a heavyweight champion.
