Browne Forced to Face New Opponent.

It seems that the closer you get to the upper echelons of the heavyweight division the more cautious you get when it comes to opponent selection.

In the land down-under one of the up and coming heavyweight contenders, Lucas ?Big Daddy? Browne seems very selective, or his camp do, as to who he?ll be meeting on a bill at the Melbourne Pavilion, Flemington, Victoria.

With a record that reads 22-0 with 19 of those wins coming by way of the big knockout, Browne is obviously in a position where he?s closing in on a world heavyweight fight, although quite where his position in the queue is I?m not sure.

Nevertheless, for his twenty-third fight next weekend, Browne?s camp have had to find a new opponent after his selected opponent Icho Larenas had to pull out for legal reasons.

Faced with finding a short notice opponent, Browne?s camp have gone for Julius Long, a seven foot tall opponent but one who has lost more than he has won.

Long, with a record that reads 16-18 with 14 wins coming by knockout, is hardly likely to trouble Browne as the heavyweight contender closes in on his dream fight.
