Brook?s Opponent Announced on Thursday

We may have jumped the gun in an earlier article!

But then again that wouldn?t be the first time, I call it speculative journalism!

However, since we jumped the gun it has been confirmed that the IBF world welterweight champion, Kell Brook, will get to finally make the first defence of the title he won, in America, against Shawn Porter on March 28th.

Brook, returning to the ring after a horrific stabbing incident in Tenerife, will be fighting in his home city of Sheffield at the Motorpoint Arena.

However, we?re still none the wiser as to whom Kell?s first defence of his title belt will be against, that luxury is being held back until an official announcement on Thursday.

But we?re pretty sure that it?ll be someone Kell is quite capable of beating as the prospect of Brook enticing Amir Khan into a domestic showdown continues to be a priority in the Brook camp.
