It now looks very likely that the fight Kell Brook has yearned for could very well become a reality.
However, it looks as if the bout might happen more through default than careful planning.
The word doing the rounds is that Amir Khan?s proposed fight with Manny Pacquiao isn?t going to happen with Pacquiao looking to fight Tim Bradley instead.
With Khan now having seen fights against Manny Pacquiao and Floyd Mayweather Junior fall through, it appears that the desire to fight Kell Brook has surfaced.
Talking about what would be a huge domestic tear-up, Khan is attributed as having remarked about not getting the Pacquiao fight and opting for a showdown with Brook,
?As it?s not me, then I?ll fight Brook. I know I can beat him and it should be at Wembley in late May.
?June is no good for me because that?s when Ramadan starts. So if it?s going to happen, it has to be before then.?
If the match can be made by Eddie Hearn then it looks as if Wembley Stadium is set to experience another 80,000 seat sell-out.
