Over in Tenerife, it is expected that Kell Brook will leave hospital on Monday and return to Sheffield.
Brook, who was stabbed whilst on holiday on the sunshine isle is expected to have recovered sufficiently enough, following his surgery, to travel.
The stabbing incident though has ended any hopes Kell had of making his first defence of his newly gained crown on December 6th but has spoken from his hospital bed, remarking,
‘I’m devastated right now after being on such a high having achieved my dream of becoming world champion in Los Angeles last month.?
‘This is obviously a major setback but the thought of defending my title is what’s keeping me positive right now. I want to thank everyone for their support and ask for privacy for myself and my family at this time.?
‘Make no mistake – I will be back.’
We?re sure you will Kell but you certainly gave us a fright with this latest escapade.
