After suffering stab injuries whilst holidaying in Tenerife, Kell Brook?s reign as the IBF welterweight champion of the world didn?t get off to the best of starts.

A first defence, planned for December, was cancelled as Brook recuperated from the injuries he received.

However, his promotional team are now indicating that Brook will return to the ring in March against an as yet un-named opponent.

It?s thought that Eddie Hearn and his aides will look for an American opponent with the likes of Josesito Lopez, Andre Berto or Brandon Rios on the agenda.

Whoever Brook fights, it?ll be great to see him back in operation on British soil and as a defending world champion.
